Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti testifies in court of tax evasion accusations

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said he “never thought of committing fraud,” as he testified in court in Spain for tax evasion allegations.

Former Chelsea and Everton chief has been accused of not paying € 1 million (£ 830,000) tax on his real salary during his first spell, which is responsible from 2013 to 2015.

Ancelotti began his second stay in Real Madrid in 2021.

Prosecutors have been looking for a prison for four years and a fine of 3.2 million euros (£ 2.7 million).

The Italian is accused of paying tax on his actual salary and leaving income from image rights to his tax returns.

“Everything was fine for me,” Ancelotti told Madrid’s provincial court.
