Rupaul’s Drag Race and Pose Star died at 44

Drag star Bianca Castro-Arabegio, who performed as Jiggly Caliente, has died at the age of 44, her family said.

The performer, who found fame in the fourth season of Rupaul’s Drag Race, was part of her feet on Thursday after suffering a “severe infection”.

Caliente had served as a judge in the show in the show’s Philippines and also appeared in the hit American television posture.

Her family wrote in a statement on Instagram: “It is with a deep grief that announces the transition of Bianca Castro-Arabegio, known to the world and valued by many like Jiggly Caliente.”

They said that Kaliente died in the early hours of Sunday morning, “surrounded by her loving family and close friends.”

The star’s family paid tribute to “infectious energy, fierce wit and unwavering authenticity of Caliente”, adding that it left a legacy of “love, courage and light.”

“She touched countless lives through her artistry, activism and the true relationship she encouraged with fans around the world,” they said.

“Although there is no physical presence, the joy she shared and the space she helped to create so much will remain forever.”
