Ryan Ruth begins self -defense in an attempt at Trump’s murder trial

Minutes in his trial, Ryan Ruth, the man accused of trying to kill Donald Trump, was cut off by the judge for deviating from the subject.

“Modern trials seem to be eliminating everything that is human,” said Ruth, who defends himself, told the jurors when his introductory remarks began on Thursday.

He opened with a “history” of human existence, but was cut within minutes by Judge Ailin Cann, who apologized the jurors and told Ruth that he had to limit his comments on the case.

Ruth agreed and apologized, but the referee cut him back when he resumed himself, instructing Ruth that his introductory remarks had ended.

For the prosecutor’s office, lawyer John Shipley, Jr., said in his opening that when he tried to kill Trump in the midst of the 2024 election, Ruth “decided to take the choice from the American people”

Data on mobile phones, security footage, a Ruth handwritten note stating the intention of killing Trump, plus eyewitnesses’ testimony will prove the case beyond reasonable doubt, said G -N Shipley.

The US secret services agent, who testifies to finding a person hiding on the perimeter of Trump’s Golf Course in West Palm Beach, is the first government witness to take the position.

In court, Robert Ferkano identified the man he found last year through a bush -covered fence like Ruth, who was sitting alone, looking from the defense table, dressed in a gray blazer and a blue tie.

Mr. Ferkano testified that while patrolling the area near the sixth hole on the golf course, he saw a face, armored plates and what seems to be the muzzle of a weapon in the style of AK, drilling through the fence.

After calling Hey, Sir, D -n Ferkano realized that his weapon was directed and called for a backup while he was moving away.

The jurors heard the audio of the colleagues of G -n Fercano Radioing after he threw his weapon in the direction of Ruth: “Shots fired! Shots!

At the request of prosecutors, the agent stood before the jurors holding a SKS semi -automatic rifle, who claim that Ruth received illegally and was used in the murder attempt.

Then Ruth began to question him – almost exactly a year after Ferkano said he had faced his face with him at Trump’s Golf Club.

“I know you have pointed out my face’s weapons,” Ferkano told G -N Ruth in response to questions about the positioning of the weapon.

Ruth has been charged with five crimes, including attempted murder of a large presidential candidate, as well as firearms allegations, among others. He pleaded innocent.

The jury has 7 women and 5 men sitting on Wednesday after three days of selection. There are 4 alternates (2 women and 2 men).

Ruth tried to reject future jurors to law enforcement authorities, citing bias, but the judge stated that his reasons were not valid for dismissal.
