Sean “Didi” Combs has admitted that he has not been guilty of a modified accusation, which includes new charges of forced labor.
The replacing accusation claims that rap tycoon forces employees to work long hours under threat of physical and reputation and forced at least one worker to participate in sexual acts with him.
G -N -Combs’ lawyers have denied that the rap moger has once forced someone to deal with sexual acts and that the case is revolving around consensual relations with his girlfriends, according to The New York Times.
His lawyers also “fiercely” denied all the charges against him in the federal case and dozens of civil cases brought against him in recent months.
“He is looking forward to his day in court when it will be clear that he has never forced anyone to deal with sexual acts against their will,” said his lawyer Mark Agnifilo.
G -N -Combs, one of the most successful rappers in the United States, is soon expected to be tested on a federal case of sex and racketeering trafficking.
The new allegations, detailed in the amended charge, fall under the charge of racketeering.
Separately, Combs is confronted with dozens of lawsuits accusing him of rape and attack. His lawyers rejected court cases as “clear attempts to collect publicity.”
Mr. Combs was led in a courtroom with firewood on Friday at the Federal Court of the South District in New York, wearing a greenish-tan in prison, with overgrown gray hair and beard.
He chose to stand when he enrolled in his guilty. Asked by a judge if he saw and read the prosecution, he replied, “Yes, I have sir.”
Behind him, on public benches, his son Christian, his daughter Chance, his mother Janice Combs – dressed in big sunglasses, and friend Marvet Brito (publicist) came to support him, along with two other men who describe himself as part of the “family support system”.
D, Kombs smiled in court, waving and blowing his family kisses, hugging his lawyers.
As well as the new allegations, there were many discussions in the court between the prosecutor’s office and the defense attorneys A video posted by CNN last year It seems to be showing the CCTV footage of G -N -Combs, who kicks her ex -girlfriend Cassandra Ventura, on the hotel floor in 2016.
G -N -Combs’ attorneys repeated their claims that the video was “deceit” and that a visual expert found that parts of the video had been taken out of order, the actions were accelerated and time brands were covered.
Prosecutors, on the other hand, described it as “critical” and “direct evidence” for their case that they would present themselves as an exhibit in the process. The judge called for them to compromise.
CNN and a lawyer of Da Ventura denied what G -N -Combs’ lawyers said about the video.
After the video was published in 2024, D -N -Combs apologized for his behavior, saying, “I take full responsibility for my actions in this video. I was disgusted when I did it. I’m disgusted now.”
On Friday, the judge said the jury’s choice was expected to start on May 5th and the opening of statements on May 12.
