Several people were killed and others were missing after they hit the Flash Floud Parts of Central Texas on Friday morning.
Disaster declarations have been issued for the Hill and Koncho Valley regions.
Saves and evacuations have been underway since the early morning, but there are warnings for more potential floods for lightning.
“Even if the rain is light, more floods can occur in these areas,” said Governor Dan Patrick.
Texas Governor Greg Abat said that the state provides “all the necessary resources to Kerville, Ingram, Hunt and the whole country of Texas Hill dealing with these devastating floods.”
The area is northwest of the Texas city of San Antonio.
The photos show the deep flooded waters that swim bridges and the fast moving water rotating on the roads.
Exactly how many people have been killed or missing, it has not yet been confirmed by the authorities.
“People, please do not take the risk. Be on the lookout, follow local emergencies warnings and do not drive through flooding roads,” said Texas Commissioner Sid Miller.
The Kerr County Sheriff’s service said the area had suffered a “catastrophic flood event” and confirmed that deaths had been reported.
He told the residents near the rivers, streams and the Guadalupe River to move to a higher place.
