AFPSix of the eight activists who were held in Israel after their boat was intercepted to try to break Israel’s naval blockade were deported, the Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed.
Early the Israeli Human Rights Group, Adala said they were transferred to Ben Gurion’s airport, “after more than 72 hours in Israeli custody after the illegal capture of Madleen Freedom’s fleet in international waters.”
Adala, who provided legal advice to activists, said the other two remain in Israeli detention in anticipation of deportation on Friday.
Among those who left Thursday was the member of the French-Palestinian European Parliament Rima Hassan.
In a publication by the X Israeli Foreign Ministry, he said: “Six more, Selfie Yacht, including Rima Hassan, are about to leave Israel.
“Bye-bai-and don’t forget to take a selfie before you leave,” she added.
The post also showed photos of the activists who enter and then sat on an airplane.
A Hassan account posts that she has left prison and invites people to meet at the Place de la République of Paris at 9:00 pm (20:00 BST).
The other five activists who have been deported are Mark van Ren of the Netherlands, Suybe Ordu from Turkey, Yasemin Akar from Germany, Tiago Avila from Brazil and Reva Viaard from France, Adalah said.
The Right Organization said that others still deported were Pascal Maries and Janis Mahamdi, both French citizens. It says they are still in custody of Givon Prison and are expected to be deported on Friday afternoon.
In a statement, Adala said: “While in custody, the volunteers were abused, punitive measures and aggressive treatment and two volunteers were kept for some time in seclusion.”
He added: “Adala calls for the immediate release of all eight volunteers and their safe transition to their countries. Continuing detention and forced deportation are illegal and some of the ongoing violations of Israel’s international law.”
The Israeli Foreign Ministry said earlier that those who refused to sign deportment documents would face court proceedings to deport them in accordance with the Israeli law.

A group of 12 people sailed on the yacht Madleen when on Monday was caught by the Israeli authorities, about 185 km (115 miles) west of Gaza.
The expedition, organized by the Freedom Flotilla (FFC) coalition, seeks to provide a “symbolic” amount of gas aid as opposed to Israel’s blockade and to emphasize the humanitarian crisis there.
At that time, the Israeli Foreign Ministry rejected it as a “selfie yacht”, carrying “less than a load of the help of a truck.”
After the retention of activists, four including Swedish activist Greta Tunberg and two French citizensagreed to be deported immediately.
After arriving in France, Tunberg accused the Israeli authorities of abducting her and other boat activists while they were in international waters.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry said that unauthorized attempts to violate its gas blockage are “dangerous, illegal and undermine continuing humanitarian efforts.”
He added that the aid transported to the FFC boat, including a baby formula and medicine, would be transferred to gas “through true humanitarian channels.”
Else places, the activists who plan to join the propalist march from Egypt to the southern gas border were stopped at Cairo Airport on Thursday, an organizing group said.
The global hike to Gaza said about 170 people face “delays and deportations” at the airport.
“Our legal services are working on these cases as we have all met all the legal requirements of the Egyptian authorities,” the statement said.
Egypt’s Interior Ministry did not comment on the arrests. His foreign ministry issued a statement on Wednesday, saying that prior approval by state authorities need to travel to the Gaza Border Zone.
The hike aims to start from El Arish in North Egypt on Friday in order to reach the Egyptian side of Rafa’s border with gas until Sunday, Global March to Gaza reported. The aim is to challenge Israel’s blockade for humanitarian aid.
About 1,500 propalist protesters also traveled to convoy with many vehicles from Tunisia to Libya and were also intended to enter Egypt to travel to the Gaza Border.
Israel and Egypt have ruled the Gaza blockade since 2007, when Hamas conquered control of the territory by removing his rivals, a year after winning legislative elections.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz called on Egypt to prevent what he called “the arrival of protesters of jihadists at the border between Egypt-Israel.”
Ghetto imagesIsrael stopped all the supplies of humanitarian aid and commercial supplies to Gaza on March 2 and resumed its military offensive two weeks later, collapsing two months of termination of fire with Hamas.
It says the steps aim to put pressure on the group to release the hostages still in the gas, but the UN warned that 2.1 million gas population was facing catastrophic levels of starvation due to the resulting food shortage.
Three weeks ago, Israel began an expanded offensive to take control of all gas areas. In addition, it partially relieves the blockade, which allows for a “basic” amount of food.
Israel is now a priority to distribution through the Humanitarian Gaza Foundation, which it supports with the United States. The UN and other help groups refuse to cooperate with the new system, saying that it is contrary to the humanitarian principles of neutrality, impartiality and independence.
It’s been 20 months since Israel launched a military campaign in Gaza in response to a cross -border attack led by Hamas against Israel on October 7, 2023, in which about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were hostage.
Since then, at least 55 207 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the health ministry in the territory.
