Four anonymous hosts are suing the legend of Motown Smokey Robinson for $ 50 million (£ 37 million), blaming him for sexual assault.
A complaint filed with the Los Angeles Supreme Court accuses the 85-year-old sexual battery, a fake prison, negligence and gender violence, in addition to a number of labor violations related to salaries, interruptions, eating time and overtime pay.
The lawsuit also names Robinson’s wife, Francis Robinson, claiming that she has contributed to a hostile work environment and uses “ethnic pejorative words and language.”
Robinsons representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment and the allegations could not be verified independently.
Robinson was Motown’s first hitmaker, writing the number one hits as Mary Wells ‘My Guy and The Temptations’ My Girl.
Born to William Robinson, Jr. in Michigan, he was both a talent for the reconnaissance for the recording label and one of his most famous recording performers, known for songs such as pieces of my tears, shopping around and tears of a clown.
It has spots both in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in the halls of Songworters glory and claims that there are loans for more than 4,000 songs.
Robinson’s reputation and growth were a frightening factor for his prosecutors who were made to feel “powerless”, said their lawyer at a press conference in Los Angeles.
“They are Spanish -eating women who were hired by the robins who win under the minimum wage,” said John Harris.
“As women with low salary of vulnerable positions, they lacked the resources and opportunities needed to protect against sexual assault.”
Women sue under the pseudonym Jane Dow 1, 2, 3 and 4, for allegations of sexual disorders, including rape that equalized against the musician.
Three are former hosts, and one is the personal assistant of the singer, Cook and hairdresser, according to court documents.
In the trial, all four women claim that Robinson will summon them in various areas of his properties in Chatsworth, Bell Canyon and Las Vegas, at times when his wife was far away.
Sometimes a shower goal appears, it forces them to have different types of sex for several years, starting in 2006, the lawsuit claims.
Jane makes 1, 3 and 4 all claim that Robinson has sexually attacked them in the “blue bedroom” of his residence in Chatsworth, claiming that he will lay a towel to protect the sheets before the attacks.
Jane Dow 2’s claims state that Robinson raped her in the washing room and garage of her residence in Chatsworth, where the closed -circuit cameras could not see.
Women claim that during the alleged attacks, Robinson used physical barriers and threats of strength so as not to escape.
The lawsuit also includes several allegations of workplace violations.
All four women say they worked 10 hours a day, for six days a week, without receiving minimum wage or overtime. They also claim to have worked on holidays without receiving a festive tariff.
According to their case, all employees give up because of the alleged sexual disorder and a hostile work environment.
The BBC contacted Robinson’s representatives to respond to the case.
No police reports or criminal accusations have been raised against the musician.
A spokesman for the District Prosecutor of Los Angeles County said that the women’s claims had not been considered as the law enforcement agencies did not submit a case.
Police in Los Angeles said there was no statement on the matter.
