On Thursday, the social network announced that Snapchat is launching a new way for users as they have made their friends and their families safe at home.
To use the feature, you need to set your home location by pressing your bitmos on the snap map and then setting “my home”. When you go out and do want to inform a friend at home, open the conversation, tap the map icon and then tap the home safe button.
Your friend once will receive an automated warning in your chat conversation.
Snapchat notes that warnings can only be sent to friends to share your position with you. Also, since SNAP is closed by default shared on the map, if you decide to share it, no one can see your position or take a safe alert to a home.
Snapchat writes in a blog post, “You are returning from the first date, from the crowd concert, or on the way to the weekend, the home safe can give a close friend or family members that you have made it safely,” Snapchat writes in a blog post.
This new feature comes two months after Snapchat Announce that snap map Now there are more than 400 million monthly active users.
The snap map, which was launched in 2017, originally had a way to visit users’ locations and browse public snaps around the world. Over time, the feature has developed and now provides ways for users Discover local hotspots And look for things to do.
