The son of the crown of Norway’s crown was suspected of three rapes and 23 other crimes, police said on Friday.

Marius Borg Huibi, who is the Pasin of the future King of Norway, was arrested three separate times last year, in August, September and November.

After a 10-month investigation, the Norwegian police have already handed over the case to prosecutors who will decide whether to have charges, said police prosecutor Andreas Krushevski.

Høiby’s lawyer Peter Sekulic said his client “accepts the accusations very seriously, but does not recognize any misconduct in most cases – especially cases about sexual abuse and violence.”

The 28-year-old, who has no royal title or official obligations, was investigated after his arrest on August 4, 2024 on suspicion of attack.

In a statementThe Oslo Police District said they had carried out a “thorough investigation”, with “a large number of witnesses interviews, several searches and a review of extensive digital materials.”

Høiby was questioned several times in the fall of 2024 and the spring of 2025 and “collaborates with the police,” the announcement said.

Among the crimes that police said Hoibi was suspected of four sexually offensive behavior, one abuse of close relationships, and two bodily harm.

Police have confirmed that some cases of sexual crimes have been rejected due to “limitation limitation and evidence.”

“I cannot enter further details about the number of casualties in the case, except to confirm that it is a two-digit number,” said Mr. Krushevski.

The royal house of Norway noted in a statement that the case continues through the legal system and has nothing more to add.
