The world’s most flowing rockets may begin to fly more.

US regulators have completed a key environmental review that creates more than twice the way to Falcon 9 launch from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida for SpaceX.

In addition to increasing from 50 launches to 120 from annual launch growth, the Environmental Review of the Federal Aviation Administration also approved a new site landing zone that can land 34 boosters per year. These boasters are the reusable part of the Falcon 9 rockets that lands SpaceX and rebuild for future aircraft.

This review, which is finalized on Wednesday, showed that “the quest for any significant effect”, which means that the proposed changes reduce the influence by specific protective measures under the Federal Act.

These measures include obtaining additional environmental permission before building new facilities, using sea turtle-friendly light at night and conducting pre-construction surveys of Florida Scrub-J and Eastern Blue Snake to ensure wildlife protection.

Regarding water management, the review has reached the conclusion that it is extremely impossible for industrial waste water – especially during the launch, a large amount of water discharged by the delivery system – to discharge near water.

The dalz system has been controversial by spraying a lot of water on the launch pad during the elevator -off to absorb heat and noise from rocket engines. At the Starbase Launch site in SpaceX in Texas, environmental groups have sued local regulators to allow the company to discharge industrial waste from the pad.

Wednesday’s Environmental approval is only one step in the process. To allow higher launch numbers, SpaceX still needs to officially modify its launch license to FAA. The Air Force Department has to approve the changes as the launch pad space force is sitting on the property.

As a result of the approval, SpaceX paved the way to continue the Falcon 9 launch. The launch frequency has risen sharply in recent years, from 60 launch to 2022 in 2022 to 2024 in 2024.

Even as the world’s most introduced rocket, SpaceX still has crowded manifest. It manages the launches for the Commercial Customer, Defense Department and its own Starlink Internet satellite. This barrier should be simplified in the launch growth. The dedicated landing zone can also shorten booster turnarands, as the company frequently does not have to rely on a booster offshore on a drone ship.

The decision is part of the many extensive multi-sighs by SpaceX to enhance its introduction cadence. The company is trying to expand further along the West coast with plans to launch about 100 Falcon launch from the Vandenberg Space Force base in California. Meanwhile, controllers are also reviewing a proposal that will allow to increase the starship launches – many large rockets of SpaceX designed for Moon and Mars from both Texas and Florida.
