A cloth of a towel wrapped around the suspect pistol used to kill Charlie Kirk has been compared to a suspect in custody, said the FBI director on Monday.
22-year-old Tyler Robinson was arrested for the death of the right-hand influencing an event at the University of Utah Valley on Wednesday. A bolt rifle was restored near the shooting, and a screwdriver was found on the roof, from which the fatal shot was fired.
“Today, I can announce that DNA hits the towel that is wrapped around the firearm and DNA of the shirt are processed positively for a suspect in custody,” Kash Patel told Fox and Friends.
An official fee is expected this week. The motive has not yet been determined.
The director of the FBI, who is facing control of his processing case, also referred to a note found in the home of the suspects who promised “take out” Kirk.
This is “Basically says …” I have the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk “and I will take it, this note is written before the shooting,” Patel said.
He added: “Although it was destroyed, we found forensic evidence of the note.”
According to the Sheriffe list of reservation of Utah County, obtained by the BBC, Robinson has been charged with aggravated murder, obstructing justice and committing a crime by firearms.
The breakthrough comes after Utah governor, Spencer Cox, said on Sunday that Robinson, who was convinced to surrender from his father, refused to cooperate with investigators and did not admit that he had done the shooting.
Cox added that Robinson’s roommate and partner, who is believed to be a transgender, helped in the investigation.
Vice President J.
Kirk has grown to national fame as a polarizing figure in the United States after helping to create a Turning Point USA, a right -wing youth political group and uses its audience online to build support for frequently controversial points.
The father of two participated in the US return tour, attending several college colleges in the United States to discuss college students when he was shot dead.
