“The Best Judge in the World” dies at 88 years old

The American Judge of Celebrities and Social Media Star Frank Caprio has died at the age of 88, his family said.

His death after diagnosed with pancreatic cancer was announced in his official Instagram account, where he was remembered for his “warmth” and “unwavering faith in the goodness of people.”

David Caprio, his son, thanked the fans for their love and support, and urged people to “spread some kindness” in the memory of his father.

Beloved for his compassion and humor in the courtroom, Judge Caprio’s videos, chairing cases in his hit show caught in Providence, had billions of viewers on social media, winning him the title “The Best Judge in the World”.

In an Instagram statement over his 3.4 million followers, Judge Caprio was remembered for “the countless actions of kindness he inspired.”

“His warmth, humor and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him,” the statement said.

Judge Caprio had chaired thousands of cases in his hometown of Provadens, Rod Island, before taking a television career.

The company behind Providence, Debmar-Mercury, pays tribute to the “unique brand of compassion and the common sense of Judge Caprio”.

“We will miss us dearly,” Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein said in a statement.

In one of his latest social media publications, Judge Caprio announced that he was in hospital again after suffering a “failure” in his treatment and asked his followers for their prayers.

Judge Caprio has survived his wife Joyce Caprio for almost 60 years, their five children, seven grandchildren and two great -grandchildren.
