The Cadillac Optiq EV and Cadillac Escalade IQ go big on tech, luxury, and price

Spread the love

The new IQ portfolio-notable of all the electronic vehicles in Cadillacs is given by compact optic SUV and Grandadi full-sized EQ-on the company on a techier, more advanced and luxurious aircraft. And the shift can’t come soon.

The traditional internal combustion engine vehicle slate, which came out of Cadilac in recent years, does not match its rivals luxury and technology level.

The goal of Cadillac is to change it with the compact optic SUV, as well as escalared IQ’s debut, which is a big swing on technology and advanced features. Importantly, Cadilac has given these two EVSs a distinct luxury personality in an attempt to apply to various customers. This is young and funny and old money is called Lux.

Cadillac let me be loose in North California for two days to run Opticu SUV and Escalade IQ. Here is how the two newly launched EVs are decorated.

Youth Optu SUV

When I learned that my dear Cadillac Blackwing engineers put a hand in the optic crossover, I was immediately interested in seeing what these wheel drives would feel at the turn of 300 horses and 354 pound-foot torque at the turn of the crossover.

It’s pretty entertaining. Yes, all EVS’s smooth power delivery and angles have the ability to accelerate quickly, but not everyone has a suspension to back up it.

Cadillac Passive Plus Tuning Get Dampers here. If the car is flat and stable when you are at high speed, it can handle the broken sidewalk without disturbing. Basically, it can respond to both slow and quick events to provide sports and comfortable handling without the complexity of electronics. Of course, I welcome the Future V-Performer Optic in the Magnide Dampers for more giggles, but now I like the hotterode kid in me.

If you haven’t carried a pile on an EV before, it may be a bit different from a traditional thane vehicle, thanks for breaking the reproduction.

The Optiq gives you the abality to turn it off and just rely on the mechanical brakes or keep them at normal for just a bit of slow down I like the highest re -construction because it adds another level skill to pick up the accelerator paddle at the right moment. There is also a paddle on the back of the steering wheel that can add rejen braking even if the system is not set for any of. It can add another skill element to those who want to test their skills. This is the gardening of driving.

Escalade IQ, electric land yacht

Meanwhile, the drive experience in the three-row Asclade IQ is pure ease. Although it sports more advanced Magneride Dampers, they basically seem to oppose the brutal 9,000 pound half.

The three-row SUV’s complete 700 horsepower and 785 pound-foot torque cable is accessible in a mode called Beg Max. Otherwise the SUV 680 pony and 615 pound-foot-footed on the four wheels of the torque. It may sound like an overkill but this jafteg baby needs it. Something low and it will be severely under power.

Escalade IQ is all about smooth, comfortable driving. The U-Turn is a simple thank you for a rear-wheel steer system that makes the 136-inch wheelbes feel smaller. If you want to come to style, an arrival mode lets escalared to the parking spot diagonally. Easy to underestimate the angle because just be careful about what’s around you.

Cadillac also equipped with luxury and facilities with features. Press the brake paddle and the doors are automatically closed. The vehicle comes with heated seats and a massage function.

And then contain the advanced driver assistance system. Both vehicles get the cadilac superjee standard that allows hands-free/i-up driving on the 750,000 mile road.

When the driver activates the turn signal or it will do it itself to pass the slow dynamic car, the system may change the system lanes. The system was hesitant while the rain was rained and quite foggy while doing Supercruities in Escalade, but the system was hesitant to execute an alley and an obvious turning point, but there was no problem reading the lane sign with the mist.

Both EVs also have a lot of standard protection features. Blind spot monitoring, forward conflict alerts and braking, lane-test assistance-all these features are here.

I prefer rear camera mirrors, especially in both vehicles, which gives a wide angle about what’s going on behind the vehicle. However, the escalared IQ standard turn-signal activated camera goes one step further with the display. Of course, blind-spot monitoring is sufficient, but the screen video shows that show that the two lanes adjacent to the two lanes are quite sweet.

Range, range and more range

Little Opticu has an 85 kWh -hour battery with adequate electrons for 302 miles driving. The 400-Volt system can accept 150 kilowatt DC fast charges enough to get about 79 miles range in 10 minutes.

Escalade IQ, of course, goes to the gigantor with a 205 kW battery with a 460 mile range. Like the related hammer EV, the asclade battery is actually two 400-volt battery packs that can work in the series or parallel, enable DC fast charge up to 350 kW and capable of achieving 100 miles range in 10 minutes. Both are on the CCS charging platform, but an NACS adapter can be purchased for $ 225 from Cadillac.

For home charging, both EV 11.5 kW onboard charger arrives with a standard but 19.2 kW system. It should be enabled about 36 miles per hour while charging at home.

Two internal personalities

The interior of the opticure certainly squeeze the recycling materials, a clean look and some nifty storage solution and skes the hiper.

There are 33-inch diagonal screen spaces and Dolby Atmos, with a 19-SECG audio system kicking seriously. The Atmos system is quite dope, bounces around the cabin in such a way that my deficiency also delights the left ear, saying nothing in my entire-functional right ear.

Meanwhile, Escalade IQ appeals to an old, more sophisticated crowd, but still 55 inch curtains throughout the dash are larger in the technology. The passenger screen can play movies or browse the web without disturbing the driver.

There is also a center screen in the bottom for HVAC control by switching to automatic door controls while in SUV Park. Two wireless charging pads for the front row are a great touch. Unfortunately, the Dolby Atmos is not available for the period of development here, but look for it in 2026.

No vehicles do not have an Apple Carplay or Android Auto, instead of Google built for map and smartphone interaction.

Although I like Google Maps suggest the charging stations and the rest of the range at the end of a ride, I was very difficult to set up Google Assistant to read my text messages. I never got to work in opticu and I had to go with an engineer in Escalade, and even then it tried a few. Once connected my phone posted a notification when I received a text message and allowed a voice-to-text reply, but I didn’t have time to see if it could play a call or play a podcast.

Checkbook breaks out

Opticu is an entry-level EV in Cadilac portfolio, starting $ 55,615 with $ 1,495 for the destination for luxurious 1 trim. However, the king’s orange paint with black roof is only available on sport 1 and sport 2 trims and the extra dollar is better.

Escalade IQ is completely other bolgame. The luxurious 1 trim starts at around $ 130,000 with $ 2,290 for destination. The colors of all paints are available all over the trim, but midnight steel frost is a surprise for $ 5,925. You can drop the most for the starting price is only more than $ 150,000 for Sport 2 trim, with a ventilated second row seat, a 38-spicer A KG sound system, a second-row massage and second row executive seat package as well as a thermal camera as well as a thermal camera.

Opticu had a positive impression on my time – even if I was probably a little older than the intended population. The car on-road etiquette appeals to the thrilling seeker in me.

Yes, Escalade is great, but it is a lifestyle and status marker, something that does not rebuild me, if you forgive the expression.

Regardless, both provide some of the best technologies in the department. Protection features all the standard such as supercruise and countless screens give both the cabin a future element. I am not satisfied with the lack of Apple Carplay and Android Auto, but it is a jerk with both outstanding vehicles that have.
