Drake received the green light to access sensitive documents from the record company in its continued slander case over Kendrick Lamar’s song not like us.

The star had requested copies of Kendrick Lamar’s recording contract, as well as wages and bonuses for senior leaders of his recording Universal Music Group (UMG).

Drake accuses the company of slander, allowing Lamar’s song to be published and promoted, claiming to have spread the “false and malicious story” of being a pedophile.

Universal filed the establishment to reject the case last month by calling it a “illogical” attempt to “silence” the creative expression of Lamar.

According to a court institution, Drake’s team is looking for documents, including “all contracts between UMG and Kendrick Lamar,” and salaries and plans to stimulate senior recruits, which are returning to 2020.

UMG objected to the request, saying that the “expensive and time -consuming process” process of collecting the “sensitive commercial network” was “unnecessary weight” when the case could still be rejected.

Hearing on the dismissal proposal is scheduled for June 30.

Drake’s trial celebrates the last chapter in his long -standing feud with Lamar.

“He is now striving to arm the legal process to silence the artist’s creative expression and to seek damage from (Universal) to distribute the music of this artist,” the company concluded.
