The Palestinian armed group Hamas has released the names of three hostages, which is said to be released on Saturday on the deal to end the fire with Israel.
They are an Israeli Calderon, 53-year-old, and Yarden Bibas, 34-year-old, and American-Israeli Keith Seagal, 65.
Bibas is the father of CFIR, the most junior hostage, who was 10 months old when he was abducted by Hamas. His wife Shiri and their other son Ariel, four, were also captured.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s service said Israel received the hostage list.
Israel will release another batch of Palestinian prisoners in return.
He will mark the fourth such exchange of hostages for prisoners, as the truce came into force on January 19.
About 251 hostages were taken from Hamas when he attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, killing about 1,200 people.
The attack caused a war that devastated Gaza. The 15-month military offensive of Israel killed 47,460 Palestinians on the territory, according to the Health Ministry of Gaza.
Oh Kalderon and Yarden Biba were taken from Hamas from Nir Oz, while Keith Siegel was taken by Kfar Aza.
The wife of G -n Bibas Shiri, both their children, Ariel, already five, and CFI, who are already two, were also captured. Their fate is unknown.
Their release will lead to the number of hostages released on the transaction to terminate the fire to 18.
The Palestinian Prisoners Association says nine prisoners serving life sentences and 81 serving long terms will be released on Saturday. Israel has not commented.
Four hundred Palestinian prisoners – ranging from those who are serving long sentences for attacks and other attacks to teenagers held without charge – have been released in return so far.
Most have returned to the occupied West Coast, East Jerusalem and Gaza, while many of the most serious offenders have been deported.
The most exchange that took place on Thursday demonstrates the uncertainty of the agreement. Israel briefly delayed, released by prisoners after being outraged by the way eight hostages were treated when they were released.
Since seven of the eight were released in Khan Eunnis, Crowds of viewers – many of them who take pictures with mobile phones – pushed in As the captives were led by artillerymen in the Red Cross vehicles before they were transferred to Israel. In a separate edition, in Jabalia, the eighth was brought through a scene of ruins of Israeli air strikes at an event managed by the scene and put on a platform before being handed over to the Red Cross.
Later, the Israeli Prime Minister’s office stated that he has received from the mediators since then, “a commitment that a safe exit will be guaranteed for our hostages”, which is yet to be released.
