The fireworks ignite when Blaze hits the Japanese festival to launch boats

The launch of the barges lights up after the pyrotechnics landed on them during a summer festival of fireworks in the Japanese city of Yokohama on Monday night.

The blaze exploded on two boats that are used to launch fireworks. Five workers were rescued after a jump in the sea, according to the Japanese public operator NHK. One is taken to a hospital with a slight injury.

Event organizers had planned to release about 20,000 fireworks in 25 minutes as part of the festival, but the event was canceled after the fire, local media reported.
