The First World War of the drone between nuclear armed neighbors erupted in South Asia.

On Thursday, India accused Pakistan of firing waves of drones and missiles in three military bases in Indian territory and administered by India Kashmir – the accusation of Islamabad quickly denied.

Pakistan claims he has downloaded 25 Indian drones in recent hours. Delhi remained publicly silent. Experts claim that Tit-Nat-Nat’s attacks marked a dangerous new phase in decades of rivalry, as both sides exchange not only artillery but unmanned weapons across a variable border.

As Washington and other global forces are calling for restriction, the region heads to the edge of escalation, with drones – silent, distant and negative – opening a new chapter in the conflict in India and Pakistan.

“The Indo -Pak Conflict Is Moving INTO A NEW DRONE ERA – ONE WHERE ‘INVISIBLE EYES’ AND UNMANNED Precision May Determine Escalations. Thus, in South Asia’s Contectsdded Just See the Battlefield – They’ll Shape It, “Jahara Matisek, A Professor at the US Naval War College, Told The BBC.

Since Wednesday morning, Pakistan says Indian air strikes and a cross -border fire killed 36 people and were injured by 57 more in Pakistan and Pakistan, administered by Kashmir. On the other hand, India’s army reports at least 16 civilians of Pakistani fire. India insists that his rocket barge was revenge for a deadly belligerent attack on Indian tourists in Pahalg last month – Attack Islamabad denies any role.

The Pakistani military announced on Thursday that it had dropped 25 Indian drones in different cities, including Karachi, Lahore and Ravalpindy. Drones are reported – Harope’s Israeli drones are reported to have been intercepted using both technical and weapons -based counteractions. India claims to have neutralized several Pakistani radars and air defense systems, including one in Lahor that Islamabad denied.

Laser -guided missiles and bombs, drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have become the main in the modern war, significantly increasing the accuracy and efficiency of military operations. They can retrieve air strikes or, if equipped, directly laser-designed targets and help instantly engage.

Drones can be used as lure or suppression of enemy air protection, flying in contested airspace to cause radar enemy emissions, which can then be directed by other ammunition such as a radiation carrier or rockets. “This is how Ukraine and Russia do it in their war. This double role – directing and actuating – turns drones into multiplication of power into a degrading enemy air protection without risking piloted planes,” says Prof. Matisek.

Experts say the drone fleet in India is largely built around Israeli intelligence BLGs such as Iai Searcher and Heron, along with Harpy and Harop Loitering Munitions – drones that double as missiles capable of autonomous and precision shocks. In particular, Harop signals a transition to a war of high value, precisely directed to war, reflecting the growing importance of debaured ammunition in modern conflict, experts say.

Henna, experts say, is the “eyes of high altitude in the sky” in the sky “both for monitoring of peaceful and combat operations. The Iai Searcher MK II is designed for first -line operations, offering up to 18 hours of durability, a range of 300 km (186 miles) and a 7,000 -m (23,000 -ft) ceiling.

While many believe that the drone’s battle number in India remains “modest”A recent $ 4 billion deal for the acquisition of 31 MQ -9B predators drones – which can fly for 40 hours and to an altitude of 40,000 feet – from the United States is a large jump in its impact capabilities.

India also develops swarm drone Tactics -the deployment of a large number of smaller ones for the overload and saturation of air protection, which allows to penetrate assets of higher value, experts say.

The Pakistani Fleet of the drone is “extensive and varied”, including both indigenous and imported systems, Lahor -based analyst told the BBC Ejaz Haider.

He said the inventory includes “over a thousand drones”, including models from China, Turkey and home manufacturers. Remarkable platforms include Chinese CH-4, Turkish Bayraktar Akinci and Burraq’s own drones and Shahpar of Pakistan. In addition, Pakistan has developed lottery ammunition, improving its impact capabilities.

G -Hider said the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has been actively integrating unmanned systems into its operations for nearly a decade. A key focus is the development of “loyal winged” drones – unmanned aerial vehicles designed to work in coordination with piloted planes, he added.

Prof. Matisek believes that “Israel’s technical assistance, delivering drones to Harope and Heron, is the main one for India, while the reading of Pakistan on the Turkish and Chinese platforms emphasizes the ongoing arms race.”

While the recent drones exchange between India and Pakistan marks a significant escalation in their rivalry, they differ significantly from the drone-oriented war observed in the conflict in Russia-Ukraine, experts say. There, drones become central to military operations, with both countries having thousands of BLAs for monitoring, targeting and direct attacks.

“Drops (in continuing conflict) instead of fighters or heavy missiles are a lower-level military option. Drones are less highly armed than piloted planes, so in one sense it is a restrained stroke.

Ejaz Hyder believes that the recent drone’s work in Jamu “seems to be a tactical response to the immediate provocations, not a full -scale revenge (from Pakistan).”

“The real revenge strike against India would include shock and awe. It would probably be more comprehensive, including many platforms -both piloted and unmanned -and aimed at a wider spectrum of goals. Such an operation will aim to have a decisive impact, signaling a significant escalation beyond the present escalation.

While drones have fundamentally changed the battlefield in Ukraine, their role in the conflict in India and Pakistan remains more limited and symbolic, experts say. Both sides use their piloted air forces to shoot each other.

“The war of the drone we are witnessing may not last long; it may only be the beginning of a bigger conflict,” says Joshi.

“This can either signal a de -escalation or escalation – both options are on the table. We are at a folding point; the direction we take from here is uncertain.”

It is clear that India integrates drones into its precision stroke doctrine, which allows you to uphold targeting without crossing boundaries with piloted aircraft. However, this evolution also raises critical questions.

“Drones reduce the political and operational action threshold, providing research and strike opportunities as they try to reduce the risks of escalation,” says Prof. Matisek.

“But they also create a new escalation dynamics: every drone, every radar, dazzle, becomes a potential flash in this tense environment between two nuclear forces.”
