Former President of the Democratic Republic Congo Joseph Kabila has been returning to the country for the first time for two years after arriving in the Eastern city of Goma, state -owned rebel, as well as a youth leader from his party.

The beating between the Congoan army and the M23 first erupted in 2012 and ended with a peace deal the next year. But in 2021, the group again undertook weapons, saying the promises assigned to the transaction had been violated.
