A Japanese plane headed from Tokyo to Texas, he had to make an emergency landing after a passenger tried to open one of his doors during the flight.
All Nippon Airways (ANA) flights were deviated to Seattle hours after Sabbath on Saturday because of an uneducated passenger, the airline said.
Police at the port in Seattle told the media that they had been notified of a man who “tried to open the starting doors during the flight.”
The man who was not identified “had a medical crisis” and had to be restrained by other passengers and flying crews, police said.
He was later taken to hospital. It is unclear if he will encounter any accusations.
“The safety of our passengers and crew is our top priority and we applaud the efforts of local law enforcement authorities to support them,” Anna said.
As the plane was waiting on the asphalt at the Seattle International Airport, the second person was removed from the flight for “uneducated behavior,” the authorities said.
Flight data show that the plane has reached its destination, the George W. Bush intercontinental airport in Houston, on Saturday around 12:40 local time (17:40 GMT) – four hours after the planned arrival time.
This is the latest in a series of such incidents.
In April, Jetstar’s flight from Bali, Indonesia, was forced to turn during his trip to Melbourne, Australia, after a passenger similarly tried to open a plane door in the air.
Last November, a man who tried to open the door of the plane during a flight to American Airlines was restrained and bound by fellow travelers with a canal tape.
And in November 2023, nine passengers from the Asiana Airlines flight were sent to a hospital with difficulty breathing after a man successfully opened the emergency door of the plane before landing at an airport in South Korea.
