The cameras captured the moment when the magnitude of 5.6 shook Lima, Peru on Sunday morning, causing panic among worshipers in the city cathedral.

The epicenter is recorded 23 km off the coast of Calao, according to the US geological survey.

It was felt in the capital and the surrounding regions, killing at least one and triggered landslides, staff said.

President Dina Bolurt called for calm from citizens, noting that the earthquake did not give rise to a threat of tsunami.
