Police in New Zealand have released fresh CCTV footage, which is thought to show a fugitive who disappeared more than three years ago with his three children.

The footage at night shows that two people in the whole body clothing – which the police are “confident” is Tom Phillips and one of his children – obviously embark on a store before driving on a four -legged bicycle.

Detective sergeant Andy Sonders told a press conference on Friday that the couple had withdrawn with some “groceries”.

Phillips disappeared into the wilderness with his three children in December 2021. Police believe he took the children after losing legal custody of them to his mother.

Since then, a national demand has been held for G -H -Phillips and his children: Ember, Maverick and Jade.

Police have released the last staff in the hope that the community will report observations from them.

The obvious breakthrough happened on Wednesday around 2:00 local time (Tuesday 14:00 GMT) in Piopio, a small town in northern New Zealand. Police said G -n Phillips is believed to have unsuccessfully directed to the same store in November 2023.

“At the heart of these are three children who have been far from home for four years. Their well -being is our main focus,” said Detective Sergeant Andy Sonders in a police statement.

Phillips is facing a number of charges, including aggravated robbery, aggravated wounding and illegal possession of firearms, police said.

Earlier, police said he believed that Phillips had help from other people. Now they are “considering what this burglary really means,” Detective Saunders said.

“Does this mean that he potentially has fallen with who helps him? Or is he just so arrogant and confident that he is quite happy to go out at night and to make a burgla?”

Last October, Phillips and his three children were publicly noticed for the first time after they disappeared, when a group of teenagers noticed them and filmed the meeting.

At that time, police said the children had not been in contact with other people for years and had not received education.

Last year, authorities offered a cash prize for information that led to the safe return on children – but the offer expired before it was requested.

The family of G -n Phillips is publicly prayed to go home.

“Tom – I feel really sad that you thought you should do this. We don’t think how much we love you and we can support you,” his mother wrote in a note provided to local media.

“It hurts every time I see pictures of the kids and you and I see some of your things that are still here.”
