AFP via Getty ImagesMohammadu Bukhari’s life has followed the dramatic changes in Nigeria’s politics over the last five decades – and he has often been at the center of events.
The former Nigerian president, who died on Sunday at the age of 82, became the country’s military leader after a coup, was closed by a new junta, after which he was rediscovered decades later to win the democratic election presidency.
Often depicted in dark glasses or thick, black frames with frames, traditional Zanna Cap and a wide smile, much of Buhari’s life is played in a public place.

After a two -year rule with a fist characterized by a crusade against corruption and various human rights violations, Bukhari himself was overthrown. The new junta put it under house arrest for three years.
In 2003, after decades of politics, Bukhari decided to have another leading country.
This time he bidders the highest work through democratic elections – to run for the party of all Nigerian peoples (Anpp).

Bukhari was well beaten by the Olusigun Obasandjo in 2003 and he made two other unsuccessful tracks for the presidency in 2007 and 2011.
Despite these unsuccessful offers, he has accumulated supporters, including disgruntled young people, with his promises to fight corruption and uncertainty.

From others, he was a champion in order who tried the best against the background of a dysfunctional political system.
In respect of his old rival, Jonathan describes Bukhari as a man who “was selfless in his commitment to his duty and serves the country with a character and a deep sense of patriotism.”
