Hours later, another major earthquake in Russia has led to tsunami warnings in three areas of the peninsula.

Both events can be connected to a A massive earthquake with a magnitude 8.8 that hit a similar zone last weekWhich triggered tsunami warnings as far away as French Polynesia and Chile.

Russian experts had warned that strong afters were possible for a few weeks after Wednesday Earthquake – which was one of the strongest, recorded and saw millions of people evacuated.
