One of the most loaded lines of the Japanese bullets stopped after a snake was tangled in a power plant, causing a power outage.
Tokayo Shinkansen trains passing between Tokyo and Osaka were stopped at about 5:25 pm local time on Wednesday.
The services are resumed around 7:00 pm local time, the Central Japan Railway Company announced, according to local media.
Currently, Japan is one of its most busy holiday seasons, Golden Week, which consists of four national holidays in seven days and will see trains, airports and holiday hot spots to reach their peak.
Osaka also hosts the world exhibition this year, which will see millions of foreign and home visitors to flow to the city until it ends in October.
The entrance of the snake happened between the stations Gifu-Hashima and Maibara, which stopped Tokyo’s connections between Shin-Oosaka and Nagoya, and the Osaka trains between Shin-Osaka and Tokyo, according to the Japanese news agency Kyodo News.
As the authorities worked to restore power, passengers gathered around the staff of a station while large tails were formed on ticket machines.
An honor traveler of Shinkansen, who returned to Tokyo, said this was the first time he had experienced it.
“I use Shinkansen several times a month, but this is the first time I experienced suspensions due to power outage,” said the 46 -year -old Satoshi Thava to Kyodo News.
But 26-year-old Casoshi Thaci said he was “fed by the problems” of services.
“I want them to run on time,” he added.
This is not the first time a snake has stopped the Shinkansen service.
In April 2024, there was a 17-minute detention, while authorities removed a 16-inch (40.6 cm) snake from the train between Nagoya and Tokyo, according to CBS News, the US partner of BBC News.
