The US is “destroying” the established world order, said Ukraine’s ambassador to the UK.

Critics the way of the administration of the new Trump administration, Valerius Sludzo said the White House “asked the unity of the entire Western world”.

His comments come against the backdrop of apparently cooling tensions between Ukraine President Volodimir Zelenski and his US counterpart Donald Trump after a public fall between the two in the Oval office on Friday.

But the remarks of G -n Zaluzhnyi at a conference at Chatham House in London on Thursday suggest that the US action remains.

He said to the public: “We see that not only the axis of evil and Russia are trying to review the world order, but the United States finally destroys this order.”

The Ukrainian envoy added that conversations between the US and Russia – the last of which is “headed by a war criminal” in President Vladimir Putin – showed that the White House is making “steps to the Kremlin, trying to meet them halfway”.

Mr Zaluzhnyi, who took over Kiev’s ambassador to London in 2024. After three years as a commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian armed forces, he also suggested that NATO could cease to exist as a result of Washington’s change in poses and warned that Moscow’s next goal could be Europe.

While Zelenski expressed the desire to lead to the end of the war in Ukraine, Kiev expressed concerns about the processing of the Trump administration and the discounts in Moscow, which can be made without guarantees of security for Ukraine.

Trump promised during the US election campaign to quickly end the war, and the US delegation met with Russian for preliminary negotiations in Saudi Arabia last month – without European or Ukrainian representatives present.

Zelenski then accused Trump of living in a “misinformation space” after the US president repeated some of Moscow’s allegations – including that Ukraine was responsible for starting the war – encouraging the latter to call Zelenski “dictator”.

US decision to stop his help for Ukraine has been submitted by Trump administration employees as a means of attracting Kiev to cooperate With peace talks led by the US.

The pause was greeted by the Kremlin as long as there is expressed fears that Ukraine may be able to endure in just a few monthsS

Since then Zelenski has done Rechapening Overtures to TrumpWithout mentioning US security guarantees, he previously said they were needed to prevent more Russian aggression. Trump said he evaluates Zelenski’s remarks.

Zaluzhnyi said the pause in sharing intelligence, as well as the worse solution to counter the UN resolution, condemning Russian aggression in Ukraine, are “a huge challenge for the whole world.”
