Things scattered after festival crush

The blankets, shoes and backpacks lie on the ground of crushing in northern India, which took place in the early hours of Wednesday at the huge Kumbh Mela religious festival.

Several pilgrims are afraid that they were injured and sources have told the BBC that at least a dozen people were killed – although there is no official confirmation.
