This mental health chatbot aims to fill the counseling gap at understaffed schools

As Wall Street described in the journalSony is a chatbot that depends on the combination of human worker and AI. When students give their questions to Sony, AI offers a response but it is people who are ultimately responsible for this message.

Sonar signed his first school partnership in January 2021, and said that it is now available for more than 6,700 middle and high school students across nine districts. The company says that chats are currently monitoring a group of six people, including backgrounds with psychology, social work and crisis-line support.

The CEO told the Journal of Chief Executive Officer Drew Babir that he made it clear to the student and the school that Sony is not the therapist, and the gold workers will work for the therapists for the students if they are suitable with school and parents.

One of the major reasons to apply for this approach in school districts is the current deficit of consultants – the education department has said that high school does not have 5 % of high school.
