Tiktok is again available in US Apple and Google stores after President Donald Trump postponed the application of a ban on the social media platform owned by Chinese until April 5.

The popular application, which is used by more than 170 million US users, darkens last month in the United States as the ban is approaching.

Trump then signed an enforcement order providing a Tiktok 75-day extension to comply with a law prohibiting the application if it is not sold.

Tiktok did not immediately answer a request for a comment from BBC News.

According to Bloomberg, who first reported Tiktok’s return to US app stores, the decision to resume his availability came after Apple and Google received assurances from Trump administration that they would not be liable and the ban would not yet be attached S

The ban, which was adopted by a bilateral vote in the congress, was signed by former President Joe Biden. He ordered the Chinese owner of Tiktok to sell the American version of the neutral country platform to prevent an outspoken ban.
