President Donald Trump meets his National Security Team in the White House Situation for a second time in two days as he considers whether to order a military strike against Iran against his constant conflict with IsraelS
The meeting started shortly before 5:00 pm ET on Wednesday, a White House official told NBC News.
In the meantime, his administration began to prepare for large -scale evacuation to Americans who want to leave Israel.
The gathering of closed doors took place as Trump insisted that he had not yet decided whether to give the final US strike to support the continued bombing of Israel’s Iranian nuclear and military goals.
“I can do it, I may not do it,” Trump told reporters at the White House Wednesday morning.
“I mean, no one knows what I’m going to do,” Trump said. “I can tell you that Iran has many problems and they want to negotiate.”
Asked if he gave an ultimatum to Iran, Trump said, “You can say that. You might call it the best ultimatum.”
Also on Wednesday, the US Ambassador to Israel Mike Hakabi said the evacuation flights and cruise ships are organized for US citizens who want to leave Israel.
The US shot against Iran is one of the variants among the range that Trump weighs, NBC reported on Tuesday.
Trump has said many times on Wednesday that Iranian officials want to meet him in the White House, even after an official social media account for Iran, he denied the request and condemned Trump that he threatened his leader Ayatol Ali Hamenei.
“They asked if they could come,” Trump said in the Oval Cabinet on Wednesday afternoon before meeting with national security. “We’ll see if this is happening. It’s not so easy to come. They can’t go out.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Hamenei threatened the United States with “irreparable damage” if Washington followed a military strike against nuclear facilities in regional power.
CNBC turned to the White House for comment.
Iran and Israel are trading a rocket fire on Friday, when the Jewish state began what it called a preventive attack on Iran’s nuclear program and other military sites.
The International Atomic Energy Agency on Wednesday said Two nuclear centrifuge facilities were struck in Iran.
Trump on Tuesday warned that the patience of the United States – a historically close ally and provider of Israel’s arms – was “thin”.
“We will not take it out (kill!), At least not for now,” Trump wrote about his social media platform of truth, emphasizing that the White House does not want rockets, “shot at civilian or American soldiers,” but nevertheless aims “Tehran’s unconditional surrender!”
Washington insisted that he did not directly participate in hostilities, but Trump’s latest comments have set speculation about a change in strategy – and a potential direct US military attack against Iranian sitesS
