Trump emerges over the G7 after the early departure

US President Donald Trump left the meeting of the Group of Seven (G7) in Alberta, Canada, early to deal with the Middle East conflict.

The escalating clash between Israel and Iran overshadowed most of the gathering, with leaders signed a joint statement, calling for “de-escalation of hostilities in the Middle East, including the cessation of fire in Gaza.”
