The Trump administration says it has launched an investigation into Brazil’s “unfair” commercial practices.

It will include the policies of the Brazilian government “related to digital trade and e -payment services services; unfair, preferential rates; anti -corruption intervention,” the US sales representative said.

The investigation seeks to determine whether they are “unreasonable or discriminatory and weight or restrict US trade.”

Last week, US President Donald Trump called on Brazilian authorities to end their criminal pursuit of former country president Jair Bolsonaro, accusing them of performing “witches hunting.”

Sales Ambassador Jamison Greer said the probe was launched in the direction of Trump “in Brazil’s attacks against US Social Media Companies, as well as other unfair commercial practices that harm US companies, workers, farmers and technology innovators.”
