President Donald Trump says Coca-Cola has agreed to use real cane sugar in his drinks sold in the US.
Coca-Cola uses corn syrup in its American products, but Trump’s health secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr. expressed concern about the effects on the health of the ingredient.
“I talked to Coca-Cola about using real cane sugar in Coke in the United States and they agreed to do it,” Trump wrote in a social post of truth. “I would like to thank all the authorities in Coca-Cola.”
“This will be a very good move from them – you will see. It’s just better.” BBC contacted Coca-Cola for comment.
