Sir Kiir Starmer’s plan for international power to support the cessation of fire in Ukraine has been rejected as a “pose and posture” by Donald Trump’s special envoy.

Steve Vitcof said that the idea is based on a “simplified” idea of the United Kingdom Prime Minister and other European leaders who think “We all have to be like Winston Churchill.”

In an interview with pro-Trump journalist Tucker Carlson, Vitcof praised Vladimir Putin, saying he “liked” the Russian president.

“I don’t consider Putin a bad person,” he said. “He’s super smart.”

Vitcof, who met Putin 10 days ago, said the Russian president was “kind” and “straight” with him. Putin told him that he added that he was praying for Trump after an attempt to kill him last year. He also said that Putin had ordered a portrait of the US president as a gift and Trump was “clearly touched by him.”

During the interview, Vitkof repeated various Russian arguments, including that Ukraine was a “fake country” and asked when the world would recognize the occupied Ukrainian territory as a Russian.

Vitcof has led the negotiations to end the US fire with both Russia and Ukraine, but he failed to name the five regions of Ukraine or annexed or partially occupied by Russian forces.

He said: “The biggest problem in this conflict is those so-called four regions, Donbass, Crimea, you know the names and there are two more.”

The five regions – or districts – are Luhansk, Donetsk, Procerns, Herson and Crimea. Donbass refers to the Industrial Region of the East, which includes much of Luhansk and Donetsk.

Witkoff made some statements that are either not true or contested:

  • He said that the Ukrainian troops in Kursk were surrounded, something denied by the government of Ukraine and uncororn any open source data
  • He said that the four partially busy regions of Ukraine had held “referendums where the bigger part of the people indicated that they wanted to be under Russian government.” There were referendums only in some of the occupied parts of Ukraine at different times and the methodology and results were widely discredited and contested
  • He said the four partially occupied areas are Russian -language. There are many Russian -speaking parts of Ukraine, but this has never indicated support for Russia.

The United States will have separate conversations in Saudi Arabia with Ukraine and Russia to end the fire at Sunday and Monday meetings.

Previously, the Ukrainian authorities said Russia had launched drone attacks against Kiev overnight, which led to the death of three people, including a five -year -old child.

Officials said eight people were injured.

Russia also struck the southern city of attachment on Friday, killing a family of three.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, the Russian Ministry of Defense said it has removed 59 Ukrainian drones in a number of regions to the south, as well as in Crimea, the peninsula illegally applied by Russia in 2014.

During his interview, Vitcof also repeated a few points of conversation in the Kremlin about the cause of Russia’s full -scale invasion.

He said that it was “correct” that from the Russian point of view, partially occupied territories are already part of Russia: “The elephant in the room is that there are constitutional problems in Ukraine for what they can retreat in territory. The Russians are in fact, these territories. The world that these Russians are actually controlled these territories.

He added: “In Russia, there is a sensitivity that Ukraine is simply a fake side, that they are simply sticking to this type of mosaic, these regions, and this is the main cause in my opinion in this war that Russia views these five regions as theirs after World War II, and this is something that no one wants to talk about.”

Putin has repeatedly said that the “root causes” of his invasion are the threat represented by Russia by expanded NATO and the pure existence of Ukraine as an independent country.

Vitcof in TInterview with Ucker Carlson: “Why would they like to take Ukraine? For what purpose? They don’t have to absorb Ukraine … They have restored these five regions. They have Crimea and have received what they want. So why do they need more?”

Asked about Kayer Stermer’s plans to build a “desire coalition” to provide military security guarantees for the post -war Ukraine, Vitcof said: “I think this is a combination of posture and posture and a combination of being simplified. NATO has not had during World War II.”

He said that the cessation of fire in the Black Sea would be “applied next week or so” and “we are not far away” by a full 30-day termination of fire.

He also gave details how Trump wanted to cooperate with Russia after relations were normalized. “Who does not want to have a world where Russia and the United States do good things together, thinking how to integrate their energy policies into the Arctic, share sea lines, perhaps, send liquefied gas to Europe together, maybe your AI collaborates?”
