US President Donald Trump interrupted his journey to attend the group meeting of the Group Seven (G7) in Cannaskis, Alberta, Canada, citing conflict in the Middle East.

The summit, hosting Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, includes leaders from France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan and the European Union.

Trump is not expected to sign the G7 statement about the conflict in Iran-Israel, despite the plan by other leaders to call for de-escalation and protection of civilians.
