He is suspected of escape after four people were killed in firing a bar in a US state in Montana, authorities say.

The shooting took place at the owl bar in the city of Anaconda around 10:30 local time, and the Montana criminal investigation department confirmed to the US partner of the BBC.

The US alcohol, tobacco, firearm and explosives (ATF) has said it “responded to firing, which filmed numerous business countries in anaconda.”

Anaconda is a former hub for melting copper, with a population of nearly 10,000 people in southwestern Montana, 109 miles (175 km) west of Bozheman.

The Center for the law enforcement of Anaconda-Dier Lodge has pointed out a suspect such as Michael Paul Brown in a social media publication, adding that it is “considered armed and dangerous”.

“If seen, it doesn’t approach,” the department said. “Contact 911 for any way to contact Michael Paul Brown.”

Officials call on the residents of Anaconda to stay home and lock their doors.

The Granite County Sheriff’s service, which is close to anaconda, has been published on social media that the shooter “is said to wear a shirt with painting, blue jeans and an orange bandana.”

The sheriff’s service added that the home of the gunman in Anaconda had been searched and “cleared of Swat” teams.

Montana Governor Greg Janforce said he was watching the incident’s response.

“Please join Susan and me, praying for the victims, their loved ones and the brave law enforcement officers who meet this tragedy,” said the governor of social media, citing his wife, Susan Janfort.

The FBI was also in place and was helping in the investigation.

Montana Senator Steve Dines told local media that the “massive manipulator” was assisted by police drones.

The owl bar was built in 1893 to serve Anaconda copper workers, according to an 1987 article in the Montana newspaper. Located in an anaconda neighborhood called goosetown.
