The US government is trying to repeat nuclear safety staff, which fired on Thursday after fears have increased that their dismissal could threaten national security, US media reported.

The workers of the National Administration for Nuclear Security (NNSA) were among hundreds of employees in the Energy Department who received letters to terminate.

The department is responsible for the design, construction and monitoring of US nuclear weapons stocks.

Termination is part of President Donald Trump’s great effort to reduce the ranks of the federal workforce, a project that he began on his first day of service, less than a month ago.

US media reported that more than 300 NNSA officials had been released, citing sources with knowledge on the matter.

This number was contested by a spokesman for the Ministry of Energy, who told CNN that “less than 50 people” were fired by NNSA.

On Thursday, the abbreviations include staff located in facilities where weapons were built, according to CNN.

Since then, the Trump administration has been trying to turn its termination, according to the media, but according to messages has struggled to reach the people who have been fired after being locked by their federal email accounts.

The Memorandum sent to NNSA employees on Friday and received by NBC News reads: “Cutting up letters for some NNSA test staff is canceled, but we have no good way to contact these employees.”

“Please work with your executives to send this information (once you receive it) to the personal contact emails to the people,” the note added.

Last week, nearly 10,000 federal workers were put into several agencies, according to numerous US retail outlets.

This figure was in addition to approximately 75,000 workers who accepted the White House offer to voluntarily leave in the fall.

Trump is working to reduce costs throughout the board, abroad and at home and gets to the point of calling for the elimination of the educational department.

He receives help from the most rich person in the world, Elon Musk, who, through an effort called the Ministry of Government Efficiency (Doge), sent workers to paddle through data from federal agencies, and helped to apply the offer to buy.

Last week, the Trump administration ordered the agencies to fire almost all test staff, those who have generally been in their positions for less than a year and have not yet gained a job protection. This included NNSA employees.

In general, this move can potentially affect hundreds of thousands of people.

Some of the Trump administration’s efforts to shrink the size and the costs of the government have been met with legal challenges.

More than 60 court cases have been brought against the Trump administration as the president was opened on January 20.
