Watch moments from the Menendes brothers’ test in 1993

Eric and Lyle Menendes, who have spent more than 30 years in prison for the killings of their parents since 1989, have been conducting a conditional release case this week.

The brothers will appear separately before the State Council for conditional release in California.

In 1996, the couple was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of conditional release for the death of the shooting of Kitty and Jose Menendes.

In May, a judge reduced his sentence to 50 years to life, making them allowable for conditional release. Eric will listen to Thursday and Lyle on Friday.

A video of the couple’s first test in 1993, which led to abuse due to a closed jury, shows that the brothers became emotional when discussing the killings and years of suspected abuse by their parents.
