Waymo and Uber are giving some riders early access to Atlanta robotaxi service

Wemo and Uber Atlanta will start offering robotaxi rides in Atlanta who signed a waitlist earlier this year. This move came forward before the company’s public robotuxi launch this summer.

Customers selected for initial access will be notified via Uber App and email. Those who choose Robotaxi Rides will be encouraged to respond during and after the journey. As an additional enthusiasm, the riders will get $ 10 Uber credit after their first wemo ride.

Atlanta is the second city to get the so -called “Uber on Wemo” service. Companies have launched this service to match the riders with Wemo through the Uber app in Austin this spring.

Uber and Wemo Announced last September As part of an expanded partnership, a robotuxi service is planned in the early 2025 in Austin and Atlanta. Under the partnership, only Uber users can appreciate WiMO’s autonomous Jaguar I-Pess vehicles.

A list included in Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Francisco – the Atlanta Service Zone will increase over time. Wemo and Uber have first agreed to supply robotaxi rides in a 65 square mile region with downtown, spectheated and capital views in the 65 square miles of Atlanta.
