Charlie Kirk was one of the most profile conservative activists and media figures in the United States and a reliable ally of President Donald Trump.
The 31-year-old Kirk, whom the president said he died after shooting at a college on Utah on Wednesday, was known for holding an outdoor debate on campuses across the country.
In 2012, at the age of 18, he co-founded the Turning Point USA (TPUSA), a student organization aimed at distributing conservative ideals to liberal American colleges.
His social media and the Daily Podcast of the same name often share videos from him, which have debated with students on issues such as transgenic identity, climate change, faith and family values.
The son of an architect who grew up in the voluntary suburb of Chicago of Prospect Heights, Kirk visits a college in the community near Chicago before giving up to devote himself to political activism. He applies unsuccessfully for West Point, the elite American Military Academy.
Kirk often focuses the language in his cheek for the lack of college when he participated in debate with students and scientists on esoteric topics such as postmodernism.
His role in TPUSA took off after President Barack Obama was re -elected in 2012.
Kirk has toured the country, speaking at republican events, many popular members of the ultra -conservative tea party movement. TPUSA already has heads in more than 850 colleges.
A keen public speaker, Kirk addressed the Oxford Union earlier this year and wrote the bestseller of the Maga 2020 bestseller.
TPUSA has played a key role in the efforts to extract the Trump voice and other Republican candidates in the election last year. The millennial was widely attributed to help register tens of thousands of new voters and Arizona’s flipping over to Trump.
Kirk attended Trump’s office in January in Washington and is a regular White House visitor during the two Trump dates.
The president and his assistants appreciated Kirk’s political antenna for Make American Great’s main movement again.
He was spoken to the Republican Conventions and last year Donald Trump paid the service by giving a big speech at a conference on a turning point in Arizona.
Earlier this year, he was traveling with Trump’s son, Donald Trump, Jr., to Greenland, as the then president, who has a treaty, claims that the US should own the Arctic territory.
The Evangelical Christian Religion and the Kirk Family – he married a former Miss Arizona, with whom he had two children – were in front and center in his politics and he was regarded as the future of conservative activism and as a highly polarizing figure.
Perhaps the biggest tribute to his contribution to Republican policy came from Trump himself in a clip played at the beginning of Kirk’s podcast.
The president says, “I want to thank Charlie, he is an incredible man, his spirit, his love for this country, he did an incredible job, building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.”
Kirk discusses numerous political and social during his events and in his podcasts – weapons are one of them.
