Which Instax Camera Should You Buy?

Fujifilm is constantly refreshing its Instx lineup, adding new features such as parallex correction and rapid USB-C charging, which offers almost all the Instx cameras now. In some cases, however, the company did not stop selling old models. In general, we advise to stick with the latest models, but sometimes you will get deep discount on old models. There are a few more models that are considered.

Instax Pal for $ 80: By the end of last year, Fujifilm Pal, introduced a small digital camera that you can also buy a bundle with an Instax Mini Link 2 smartphone printer and 10-pack Instax Mini film. I haven’t tried the sail yet, but I’m struggling to understand who needs it. You can get a lot of the same features in the mini evo, but perhaps the EVO is less likely to be in the hands of the child? I will test it soon and report back.

Instax SQ 6 for $ 150- $ 200: This is the chief-scrather to me. As mentioned above, the SQ 6 SQ 1 or SQ 40 is better than the camera, which looks like SQ 6 has replaced 6 jointly. Heke, even a taylor swift version of class 6 (I hate to see what is going on in eBay). Whatever the case, Fujifilm and’s Instax does not list SQ6 on the website. Nevertheless, SQ 6 is a great camera if you prefer the square format. It has a number of manual features that are not available in others – I am especially like Lighten and Darken modes, which can be used like exposure compensation – in addition to the complete automatic mode of SQ 40. Here are some great additions like selfie timer, close up mode and have the ability to turn off the flash. There is still a fair bit of new old stocks, so if you can find it for about $ 100- $ 150 and you like the square film I say go for it.

Inst 80-$ 120 Instax Mini 11: It’s covered on a top, but if you miss it, buying a mini 11 is almost never worth it. It is a few dollars cheaper than the new mini 12 and most features that make the mini 12K so well bought. If you can find it below $ 50, it is probably worth it but otherwise avoid mini 11.

Instax Mini Link Printer is at $ 145: Fujifilm’s Instax Mini link was replaced by mini link 2, but the upgrades were minor and, in fact, I cannot say any difference in print quality. If you can find the original mini link for a lower price than the price of Link 2, go for it. Link 2 sells most of the time for $ 100, so if you can find the link for less, then catch one. They both are great printers.

Instax 7 S/8/9: These are all old, low-end instak models. They all use a steady 1/60 shutter speed, where the auto exposure of the mini 12 can choose between 1/2 to 1/250 seconds of the shutter speed, making it more flexible. Given that most of them are hard to find in any way, give them a pass.
