Young Republicans cheer Trump of the Texas Party Party

This is the first night of the rodeo in Houston, Texas – usually an inconspicuous event in the city.

But gathered in an Irish pub in the city suburbs are a group of young Republicans who do not want to miss President Donald Trump Address of the first time to the congressS

About a dozen party members have accumulated in the back room of the pub, while Fox News Blares on surrounding television screens.

People have come out, wearing red, white and blue, with pins and accessories scarves.

Before the speech began, the club members told me how excited they were to hear Trump’s proposals.

If they had to evaluate him the first 44 days of service, it was unanimous “A+”.

“He has already surpassed all the expectations,” one man told me.

As the president took the podium, the group chat stopped, but the applause and laugh did not.

Sporting Trump-Vesball Hat, 26-year-old Evan Howard lifted his glass every time the president said something he agreed with. And that was a lot.

“He will break up with crime and be difficult with the cartels. He will stop many American bloodshed,” he said.

But Evan admitted that 44 days later he did not have the benefit of President Trump to be in his post again. At least not he is happy to wait.

“I’m not much better to be honest, but I like what he does,” Evan said. “I see the work that is being done and I understand that some of these changes he puts through will not go immediately and that we will see their effects in the future.”

Sitting against Evan was Brittany, who was far less expressive throughout the event than the rest of the table. 31-year-old black Woman, she is new to the Republican Party.

“I think he did great. I thought it was a very unifying message,” she said. “He pointed out many things that the Democrats I felt really did at one point were unable to press.”

“(Democrats) tend to advocate for certain things that do not really apply to Americans as a whole. Americans are fighting. You have problems with crime, you have people who are losing their home, you have people who become homeless. And liberals want to talk about pronouns.”

The pronouns, Paul and “Wokes” mentioned many cheers and clapping from the crowd on Tuesday night.

The bus came every time the cameras fell in Nancy Pelosi, or Democrats who kept signs in the crowd, or any legislator who seemed to be sleepy among the crowd.

The only feedback for President Trump tonight? Maybe talk about Joe Biden a little less.

But otherwise, the message of the separation from this group is: promises and promises.
